| Well, finally got some long awaited good news. I came home today and looked in my mail and saw a letter from the RCMP. A letter? I have been waiting for a phone call not a letter; a letter can only be bad news. So I looked at the letter and it was not the big package letter that one receives when getting accepted to depot, it was a small one page letter. All the bad thoughts came into my head, this is the letter that tells me "thanks for coming out, but we found something that has excluded you from the application process". But to my delightful surprise when I opened the letter the first word on the page was "Congratulations! We are pleased to advise you have successfully completed the RCMP application process." It tells me that I am to expect a call within the next two to three months telling me when I start. So basically it means that I have completed the background investigation (the final step) and have been accepted. Oh, the end is close, I can see light at the end of this long, long tunnel!!! |
