race : i take almost a purely biological / anthropological view on race, ethncity, etc. i think differences in skin color, etc. is primarily due to the influence of the environment on the human species. more specifically, skin color differences are due to the adaptation of humans with environmental influences; such as distance from the equator, elevation, etc. through evolution and the many, many years, humans and their pigments have adjusted to be able to survive in those varying environments. therefore, i do not call myself white or do not make such simplistic divisions between skin colors, nor do i like the term, the social connotations, and the (automatic, yet completely false) divisions between races, etc. i consider myself a native born American with Swedish, Scottish, German, & Irish ancestry (what i have been able to find thus far)
