Like I stated, to me it is merely a way of getting help from the "powers that be" (insert whatever you believe in) to make decisions. Therefore, it must be natural, healthy, and helpful.
Those who develop their method for recieving and interpreting the info are known as psychics and can become professionals. Yet, no matter how good someone becomes, it is still a normal part of everyday life, these indivuals have merely integrated this gift into their lifes and it has manifested into a profession. To me, this is no different than any other occupation; a mechanic and the knowledge of automobiles, a farmer and the knowledge of animals and nature, a scientist and the knowledge of laws and theories, a lawyer and the knowledge of legal and governmental processes, a psychic and the knowledge of how he/she receives and interprets information in order to give advice and counsel to others.
The process of learning and interpreting psychic information is very personal and depends upon the individual. There are specific, numerous ways in which to recieve psychic information. One way and the way I do it is by feeling it. Basically everything that the body senses is based on feeling. The ear for example, feels sound waves and then all the biological processes of hearing begin. This is the way I recieve things, I just feel things and then interpret it them based on what I already know to be true. I consider myself to be an empath. Mainly because I can tell how people (and animals sometimes) feel; if they are mad, sad, happy, etc. I know pretty much everyone can do this most of the time, but I seem to feel things as if they were my own. I sometimes actually start to feel different things around different people. I can walk into a room and I might get angry or something and their had just been a verbal fight. However, I can usually tell the degree of the emotion I recieve also. I could tell if the fight was very serious and if the anger will stay between the persons involved for a while or if they will make up soon. I think of it as a gift, it is rather difficult sometimes, but I love the feeling of sharing such personal and hidden knowledge with people. I say sharing because I can never use this against anyone, to gain anything which may harm or simply not help anyone else. The best way for me to think of empathy and other psychic things is to use them as a method for bettering myself with the world.
