Just The Ponds....
The pond started as just an accent in the garden.  It has soon turned into a new hobby in itself.  I've really enjoyed learning how to build and care for this feature and the enjoyment my kids get out of it (especially my daughter Annie) is tremendous.   In 2005, we added a second pond in our front yard.  Be sure to check that one out
Spring 2003 - First Hyacinth bloom.  Third water lilly bloom.  I am continuously amazed at how fast the Hyacinth's multiply.
Over head shot of the pond in it's first summer.  I didn't care for how the coping stones turned out and redid some of them in the spring of 2003.  Also added some stepping stones.

Overhead shot of pond in the Spring of 2003.  Hyacinths are spreading like crazy.  I've already pulled many of them out.  Note to self:  Don't buy so many next year!

2005 Pond
This is the pond in the spring of 2005.  Still have 4 hardy gold fish.  Water lillys are all from the first year of the pond.  All other marginal plants are new this year.  I talked to someone at our local nursery and I found I was putting them too deep in the water too fast, so this year I am taking it slow.  They are doing great so far.
