Furry Friends
Paul currently lives in the Outaouais region, Canada, with his wife Helene and his four full-time cats; Rompi, Miss Chi-Chi, Maskie and, last but not least, Nikiliti.
Rompi
Rompi is an ten year old male tabby who thinks he's really a little man in a cat suit.   He has temper tantrums when denied anything and is extremely embarassing in front of company since he greets most visitors with loud hisses of dissaproval, especially Helene's twisted sisters.  However, he's an excellent goalie, retrieves his own ball, loves a good steak and does a superb Robert De Niro impression.  Of course he's Paul's best buddy and they get along great!

Miss Chi-Chi
Let me introduce Rompi's cat, Miss Chi-Chi.  She's a nine year old female British short-hair and is also quite a character.  She's a complete glutton and must be supervised at all times when being fed as she tends to inhale her food and then attempts stealing her dining companions' portions.  Needless to say, her best friend is the refrigerator.  She loudly announces her bathroom visits, plays a mean ping pong game and can chase a light dot till she drops.  She's Helene's best girlfriend.  Oh yeah ... almost forgot ... she's psychic!

Maskie, a.k.a. Lucky Masquerino
Rescued from a possible life sentence in an animal shelter, Maskie (Lucky as he was called back then) is about 5 years old and has been with Paul and Helene for about two years.  A true ladies man, he can sweet-talk any woman he meets.  This garden variety little black and white number is a total dream.  He likes most foods, will never take his frustrations out on anything in the house and is always perfectly groomed.  He is warm, soft and squishy ... the purrfect cat!  Paul says he is Helene's 'lover' as they are forever snuggling and cuddling.

Nikiliti, a.k.a. Nicoletta or Nikki
This little darling sort of came with Paul's newly purchased house.  Also a British short-hair, she was found in the driveway about two weeks after the move.  Only two months old, homeless  and starving, she immediately found a place in Paul and Helene's hearts and home.  She is referred to as the 'terror of the carrot patch'; a one-cat demolition team, everything is fair game and nothing or nobody is safe.  She recently celebrated her first birthday and is starting  to show signs of maturity.  She has stopped riding Maskie rodeo style and hasn't thrown a plant on the floor for several months.  She's a keeper!

Nikiliti
Love the animals:
God has given them the rudiments of
thought and untroubled joy.
Do not, therefore, trouble them,
do not torture them,
do not deprive them of their joy,
do not go against God's intent.
