Mission Statement
Thank you for visiting the Life in Jesus Christian Ministries website. It is our hope and prayer that we'll be able to be a lighthouse for Jesus on the Internet. As always, LIJCM is serious about providing a quality, God inspired Internet ministry that uplifts Jesus Christ and builds up Christians to become better ambassadors for Him but we want to do even more than that. We want to make LIJCM an outreach center for the community in the Orange and Durham county area of NC and, ultimately, touch the world with the soul saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are confident that God will provide a place for us to worship so that we can take our Internet/Home Cell ministry to more people in the community by having a public place for worship and services. Please be in prayer about this and seek the Lord's guidance on how He may want to use you to help our ministry. We are praying that God will lead us to a public meeting place. We are currently meeting in homes and having Bible studies which focus on how to shine our light for Jesus to a lost world. This mission statement will give you a better idea of what our goals are and how we want to touch those for Jesus around us. Our mission is as follows:
1. To reach our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. To emphasize a life of daily prayer, Bible reading and presenting oneself as a living witness for Jesus.
3. To teach that having God's Holy Spirit in you will enable you to live the kind of life that is pleasing to God and thus enrich the life of a believer. This is best summed up in our slogan "Living Righteously Builds Christians."
4. To encourage Christian growth and fellowship by means of regularly scheduled worship and activities.
5. To educate Christians and others about the Rapture and end time events as taught throughout God's Word.
6. To help the community through charitable functions and thus help spread God's love to those who may not be exposed to it very often.
