Course Code: Basic HTML - Computer 106

Description:

At the end of the course the student will have a working knowledge of the Internet, how the World Wide Web (WWW) works, all the major HTML elements, and how to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to publish pages to the WWW.

The student will learn how to construct web pages containing hyperlinks, graphics, tables, frames, bit-mapped images, and forms.

The course will be taught using a common Windows-based text editor such as Notepad or Textpad and a standard browser such as Internet Explorer.

Audience:

This course is intended for students and professionals interested in creating and publishing web pages using HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and XHTML (Xtensible Hypertext Markup Language).
No previous experience with HTML is required.

Prerequisites:

Successful completion of Computer Course 101 or a working knowledge of the Windows operating system.
