Now the second bottom tooth has been clipped, and you can see her gums and how much they have been cut, the second tooth is much easier to cut as you can see just where to cut useing the first tooth for a guide
Honeybunny having her teeth cut, I use nail clippers, in this pic you can see one tooth has been clipped on the right, and you can see how overgrown they were, I wrap her in a towel, then sort of lightly file her teeth for a little while before clipping, she likes the feel of the it , this calms her down,  I also give her a few drops of flower rescue remedy before I start, you have to clamp the clippers onto the tooth, she does nt like this and will wriggle her chin, but I expect some bunz will kick and fight which would be very hard, I keep it clamped, then move it carfully to get it in the right place and straight, and make sure none of her lips or toungue is near the clippers,  I close my eyes and clip, her teeth are rock hard and fly off the clippers, not good to get in your eyes.
In this picture her right tooth has been cut off, you can see it on the right, it is longer than this, part is covered by her mouth.
Honeybun has very strong bottom teeth and they are wearing the top teeth away
And now to file them straight, and take all the sharp bits off them, you need a good file, the teeth are very hard, and you need to hold the bottom jaw as tight as you can without hurting bunny, you need to push the file hard on the teeth or it won t file them, best to have a few files, I think I need to get a better one myself as it does take ages sometimes.
Honeybun likes to test her teeth out right away, a much happier bunny.
Honeybun was diagnosed with cancer last Spring, she was all ready on the table to remove a lump, but they found more, the vet would nt operate, but they did trim her teeth, back and front, she came home with one tooth on the bottom missing, they had broken it off at the root, but this tooth did grow back quite quickly, and this can happen sometimes, although I have always been lucky and hav nt broken any off at the root.
Honeybun is in her sixth year, and is still happy and enjoy s her days, and we hope she will be with us for many more.
