| Tampere 10.11.2001 Hello guys! So it's November, almost December! Everyday I hope it would rain snow, but my wish hasn't come true yet. There are people who hate snow or winter or cold or all of them, but I'm not of like them. Fortunately. I love it that here in Finland there are 4 seasons, totally different kind of landscapes and all that. Some people hate winter cause it is so cold. In Southern Europe people wonder how can we manage up here in north and also like it. Well, you haven't seen our houses. As you know, last winter I lived in Saas-Fee in a ski resort in Souther Switzerland. It was lovely there, absolutely amazing, but the houses weren't as warm as I was used to. Here in Scandinavia the houses really are good and warm and that what makes winters so great also. Should I write something about my self too? Well not a lot has happened here. Ville is working in Oslo in a restaurant called "Cafe de Ville" and I miss him. In a mean time I try to be a good student and get good grades. I have been thinking that perhaps I shouldn't go to Oslo after the X-mas after all. One big reason is that I haven't found a practical training placement yet and the courses in Oslo aren't accepted in my school. Great! If I stay here in Finland until the end of May and find a practical training placement here (should be easier) I would graduate in summer or so. This was all folks! :) Pauliina 20.02.2002 Tampere Still studying in Tampere but now I'm also working in a city of Nokia, to be more specific; Environmental Centre. Yes, city of Nokia is were Nokia mobile phones got it's name. Nokia company was first a company making car tyresm rubber boots ans toilet paper and partly it is still. I'm fine and healty and nothing has really changed here. I'm living in a really small flat at the moment. Ville is working in Norway but not for long. I'm a bit fed up with this distance relationship so some changes needed to be done. :) Pauliina 26.07.2002 Tampere Hellou! How are you! I'm super, thanks. For a long time I have had a real summer holiday. To be exact, I haven't got a summer job of any kind. This is luxury. Actually I haven't been just doing nothing; I have started to make my final thesis (=the reuse of forest industry waste water sludge) and I have completed a couple of missing courses so I haven't been completely lazy. But of course there are days when sun shines and I don't have much of an ethusiasm for reading and then I just take a good book, go to the beach and enjoy myself. Ville is no more working in Norway (not since March) but in a ferry between Finland and Sweden. You can guess that I have been travelling a lot between Finland and Sweden this year. In autumn I'll start my Master's and I look forward to it. :) Pauliina |
