My Latest Adventures! |

It was a fun couple of days. Since they were back-to-back, I decided to lump them into my latest advestures. The first was a Mother's Day dinner cruise aboard the Spirit of Puget Sound. The second was a train trip up to Vancouver, BC. |

FIRST ADVENTURE: A Mother's Day adventure. The adult members of the family cruised aboard the Spirit of Puget Sound. The day was beautiful and the cruise was great. That is, until the floor show. Several crew members began belting out hits from the 70's. Correction, there were no hits in the 70's. They sang disco (ugh) songs. If you want to learn more about the Spirit of Puget Sound here. |

SECOND ADVENTURE: Train Trip. The next day, I went on a train trip up to Vancouver (the one in Canada). On the way up, traveling along the Sound, I saw a bunch of bald eagles, egrets, other sea birds, silly Canadians waving at the train (I decided that I'm going to start waving at buses), and a dead, bloated, beached whale that may or may not have been waving at the train...it could have been the wind blowing the fin. A thought occurred to me that instead of the Makah Indian tribe killing a whale, someone should transport that dead whale to them and let them munch on it. Yummy, that's some mighty tasty blubber. |

Continuing on, the day was beautiful and Vancouver was great to see. I took a bunch of pictures as I walked around. I also laid in the grass at a park, something I hadn't done in a very long time. I'm beginning to think that I may have missed my calling: unemployed bum in the park. I think I could do that. I saw a homeless guy up there who had two, yes, two, shopping carts tied together. They were heaped high with numerous garbage bags filled with stuff. I think that if I really dedicated myself, I could do three carts! Ah, that would be something to see. Dare to dream. |
