![]() | "The space patroller "Final Star" has taken off! "Final Star" fights the last battle with "Godearth", a gigantic floating continent. 2,000 years of a long fight is coming to an end." Yes, well, that may be, but since when have you needed an excuse like that to blow away hordes of alien scum? So without further ado, it's time to jump into your trusty ship, and get saving the Earth already! | ![]() |
![]() | Your ship is a pretty standard affair. It's capable of relatively quick manoeuvering, but there is no facility for fancy power ups, no sirree. At points along your journey, you will encounter a small satellite which, when shot, will release equipment that bolts on to your ship and provides you with a faster fire rate, but other than that, you must rely on reflexes and skill to get you through. Now, we may have been fighting these aliens for 2,000 years, but they mustn't think we're all bad. As you progress from level to level, you will notice that, inexplicably, their "planets", or sectors, are named after letters in the Ancient Greek alphabet! As they've gone so far out of their way to make you feel at home, it almost seems a shame to blow everything up, but as so much of the surfaces of each sector contains destructable buildings and structures, then you must do it to help you on the way to victory. | ![]() |

![]() | Also scattered around the ground are useful objects for you to destroy. Panels marked with a "B" or "b" must be destroyed for bonus points at the end of each level. The more you miss, the less your bonus will be. Occasionally you will come across groups of panels emblazoned with question marks. Shooting the correct panel will result in you being awarded an extra ship. Once you reach the end of a level, a large structure materialises before your eyes. From it comes your enemy, a large craft bearing the Greek letter that corresponds with the level you're on. This craft moves from side to side, begging to be shot. | ![]() |

However, the structure is flanked with guns, and they will shoot at you, causing some difficulty. If you don't shoot the craft in time and fly past it, you will be transported back to the beginning of the level, so you'd better be quick on that trigger! Destroying the strange end-level craft will bring up a screen telling you how many of those "B"s you missed (you should have paid more attention earlier, shouldn't you?), and awarding you those bonus points, up to a maximum of 20,000. Then it's on to the next, more difficult level. Well, what are you waiting for? Hero status is up for grabs, so off you go! MOZ |
