   Dear Mr. Estrin;

   Please accept my most sincere thanks to the Old North End 
   Rag; and most importantly, acknowledgment of the efforts by 
   reporter Ken Lawless. 

   For years; I have been fighting city and state officials, in 
   numerous issues of political; business and criminal 
   corruption. Working on the record, as a private detective, and 
   refusing to pay for license renewal as required by law. 
   Demanding to be charged for this act, in order to get standing 
   before a jury and get the opportunity to tell my side of the 
   story. The criminal investigator for the Vermont secretary of 
   state, a former police officer himself, realized what and why I 
   was doing what I was doing and opened several "closed" 
   cases, in order to provide me due process. That was again 
   overturned by political action. Not to be stopped, I have 
   appealed directly to the people, by means of running for the 
   publicly elected offices of Vermont attorney general, and for 
   the office of Chittenden County States Attorney.  

   Because, I CAN DOCUMENT MY CASE AGAINST LOCAL 
   AND STATE OFFICIALS, main stream media refuses to 
   interview me, believing that I will go away. Ain't going to 
   happen. Burlington, is my home town, and I take the issues, 
   and my professional behavior most seriously. 
   Ken Lawless has been the only reporter that has followed my 
   campaign, the reasons why, and the issues of practice, policy 
   and procedure, that once elected will become LAW.

   The July 2001 issue: did the job: I finally got arrested.

    And because one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, 
   and because there is NO communication between law 
   enforcement agencies; at the time of arrest, I observed federal 
   agents watching me at my regularly scheduled 20th of the 
   month press conference. ( Believing that they were watching 
   because I was working to gain knowledge of police corruption 
   in the drug business, with full knowledge and communication 
      with Burlington Police Detective Art Cyr, and under direct 
   instruction by Detective Peter Bottino, while networking with 
   a police informant. ) Federal agents placed an "anonymous" 
   call to Burlington Police stating that I was dealing drugs to 
   teen agers. WRONG I BUY POT, I SMOKE POT, I can not 
   sell drugs to anybody in this rat town without getting caught 
   and loosing my standing in complaint against the department 
   of banking and insurance and amex, for my loss of over half a 
   million dollars in real estate, and my insurance (series 7/63 
   securities license.

   Because I named the Federal Prosecutors by name, they 
   wanted to silence me. Ain't going to happen.

   They didn't know I was working ON THE RECORD, and 
   documented my behavior by instructing persons as to what I 
   was working on and with whom, this way ( Matt Young 
   Howard services) would be able to see if the persons involved 
   kept to the same story, as well as providing me with a defense 
   in case of any complaint filed against me. ( always expect 
   counterclaim when I file charges, part of the system).


   As a result of cooperating with police, Scott Lebeau was 
   murdered, and law enforcement has even more to hide, 
   because of the involvement of members of SRS, and the 
   political ambitions of Howard Dean.

   If you review the case file docket # 5614-09-01Cncr, you will 
   find communications stating that there is a real threat to 
   murder those that can give testimony, and that the method of 
   murder will be by "heroin overdose'..

   More people are being threatened, and the main stream media 
   is avoiding the issues like the plague.

   Not so, Ken Lawless

   Please consider a review of Ken Lawless's work and the 
   significance that it has upon the community.

   There is nothing more powerful than the "Freedom of the 
   Press" and there has never been a more important time for the 
   press to cause accountability, insight, and contrarian opinion.

   Please realize the "other" issues that cause main stream media 
   to avoid addressing my campaign. 

   Please realize the contributions made by the reporting of Ken 
   Lawless, and nominate him for the professional recognition, 
   that HE and the Old North End Rag deserve.

   Frankly, knowing what I know, and when I know it, to see 
   Sam Hemmingway, the Burlington Free Press, or WCAX get 
   any award, just plain pisses me off.


   I am not a writer, my English teacher, Mrs. O'brien turns over 
   in her grave.  I'm an investigator, and one of the best. And as 
   states attorney will be able to investigate without letting the 
   bad guy's go for political favor.

   I will always give the OLD NORTH END RAG  an 
   opportunity to question my behavior for public 
   accountability, I am running for public office, not sainthood.
