3 Stars out of 4

"Unbreakable" features great stars and a good story, but its ending does not compare to last year's "The Sixth Sense." Bruce Willis returns to work with director M. Night Shyamalan, playing security guard David Dunn. He's never been sick before in his life; one day he is the only survivor of a major train wreck outside of Philadelphia. Not only is he the only survivor, but he also escapes without a single scratch, cut, or bruise. Soon he is confronted by Elijah Price, played by Samuel L. Jackson. Elijah is the exact reverse of David - he has had accidents all his life and frequently is injured.
Elijah meets up with David and is determined to find out the "link" between them. The movie is certainly interesting, but there are several scenes that seem to drag on too long. "Unbreakable" succeeds on continually developing the story towards the climax. While I cannot reveal the ending, I can tell you that the movie simply was not as great as I thought it was going to be. However, "Unbreakable" still is a very good movie, and far greater than many others out now. I recommend this movie.
Rated PG-13 for mature thematic elements including some disturbing violent content, and for a crude sexual reference. 106 minutes.
