Finally, a good action movie. A very good one at that.
Starring Matthew McConaughey as Lt. Andrew Tyler, U-571 is set in World War II. Nazi Germany has developed a highly secret code, called Enigma, that the Allied forces cannot decode. American forces are sent to steal the decoding machine from a German U-boat, or submarine.
After hijacking U-571 and getting the machine, their American submarine is destroyed, leaving them in the German U-boat. They must get back to America, alive, with the decoding machine. This is a really good movie because of McConaughey's acting and its nonstop action. It's the best submarine movie since 1989's "The Hunt for Red October." Go see this movie.
Rated PG-13 for war violence.
