"The Cell" is a very, very weird movie. That said, it is also a good movie. Similar to "Seven," the movie deals with a woman who has to go into the mind of a serial killer in order to locate his last victim, who is still alive. Jennifer Lopez plays that woman, while Vince Vaughn plays the FBI agent who arrested the killer. As I said earlier, the movie is very weird. It has many scenes of graphic violence but it is the great storyline that redeems "The Cell." Initially I didn't want to see this movie because Jennifer Lopez is in it; ironically, she does a very good job of portraying her character here. I don't recommend it for the faint of heart, but if you enjoyed earlier serial killer movies such as "Seven" and "Kiss the Girls." This movie is not suitable for children.
Rated R for bizarre violence and sexual images, nudity, and language.
