"Small Time Crooks" is a funny movie, but don't let the preview deceive you like it did me.
The preview leads the audience to believe that the entire movie is about an attempt to rob a bank by tunnelling under it. Well, that part of the movie is over after about 30 minutes. They end up striking it rich, but not by robbing the bank. It's the cookies that make the money. As a diversion, Woody and the boys set up a cookie shop. Well they get rich and the rest of the movie is about how they deal with the new-found riches. "Small Time Crooks" stars Woody Allen, Tracey Ullman, Hugh Grant, and Jon Lovitz.
The movie is funny, but not all of the jokes come across that way. I would have to say the most disappointing part was how the movie did not follow as how the preview led me to believe. This movie is appropriate for all audiences.
Rated PG for language. 94 minutes.
