Scream 3

3 Stars out of 4

Well, as far as sequels and other movies that continue from the original, this one is pretty good. Luckily, it is much, much better than Scream 2, although it still is not as good as the original Scream.

Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott, this time all grown up and out of college. This time they're making "Stab 3" in the movie, and of course, someone has returned to wear the "Mr. Ghostface" costume and kill a lot of people. David Arquette returns as Deputy Dewey Riley, but this time he isn't a deputy. Instead he plays a technical consultant to "Stab 3." Courtney Cox Arquette returns as the publicity-obsessed television reporter/talk show host Gale Weathers. The story is pretty basic. There's a killer on the loose and they have to catch the person, or at least avoid the person.

Parents, kids 15 and older are probably fine watching this, assuming they've seen one of the other Scream movies. If the kid has never seen a violent movie or one in which a killer is on the loose, then I would suggest you don't let him or her see this one.

Rated R for strong horror violence and language.
