"Reindeer Games" is a great movie. It's full of plot twists and turns, along with an excellent cast.
Ben Affleck plays Rudy Duncan, a guy in prison for grand theft auto. His cell mate, Nick (James Frain), has fallen in love with his pen-pal, Ashley. She is played by the lovely Charlize Theron. Soon Nick is killed; when Rudy gets out of prison he sees Ashley waiting there for Nick. So Rudy goes over to Nick, but because she does not know what Nick looks like, Rudy tells Ashley that he is Nick. Adding to the confusion (don't worry, it's good) is Gary Sinise, who plays Ashley's brother and a serial killer, Gabriel. He wants Rudy (who he believes is Nick) to tell him how to rob an Indian casino in Michigan.
Well, as you can see, the plot is very complex. But that's what makes this such a good movie. "Reindeer Games" is a truly unpredictable movie. Parents, I would suggest leaving kids 14 and under at home.
Rated R for strong violence, language, nudity, and sexuality. 105 minutes.
