"Lucky Numbers" is a dark comedy starring Lisa Kudrow and John Travolta. It is set in 1988 at a television station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Kudrow plays Crystal Latroy, a model who reads out the winning lottery numbers in Pennsylvania. Travolta plays Russ Richards, a bankrupt weatherman at the station. He desperately wants to become a game-show host but is stuck doing the weather there.

In order to get some money to keep his possessions, Russ decides to rig the state lottery. It works, but like in real-life, the aftermath is not pretty. The movie is a very dark comedy. There are some funny parts; others are just plain weird. If you like a dark comedy, this may be the movie for you. Otherwise, you might want to steer clear. Kudrow's character here is nothing like the "Phoebe" she plays on television's "Friends."

Rated R for language, sex, violence, and adult situations. 105 minutes.
