The funds to purchase the rink from Athletica,Inc. were made possible through mitigation funds requested by former Alderman John Beauchamp from the Davis Corporation (7,000 dollars) and an appropriation (9,100 dollars) by Mayor Curran. The City Of Woburn Engineering Department provided the layout of the surface and grades. Thanks to the Woburn D.P.W., Recreation, Parks, Police and Fire Departments for their support throughout this project. The surface of the rink was donated by Bob Holland and the work was performed by Nocella Paving. The core boring services provided by Solberg Concrete Cutting to hold the boards in place was donated by George Gately. The goals were provided by Paul & Lori Medeiros with security chains added by George's Auto Body. We built this rink on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23.
