| A Hike in the Woods A Fantasy Memoir by Paul |
|||||||||||||||
| Paul and Carissa walked slowly up the trail, enjoying the sunshine and the solitude that can only be found outside the city. Each of them had hiked this trail before but never together. They had rolled out of bed at the ungodly hour of 6am in order to be at the trailhead at 8:30. "I can't believe you wanted to get up this early and go hiking," laughed Carissa. "Just think of what we could be doing if we were still home and in bed." "Just think what we did last night in bed," Paul retorted. With a smile he added, "And just think what we will do tonight! Plus we'll have all these fine memories of fresh air, spring flowers, and the view of Mt Hood and the falls." The trail was a loop that crossed the Sandy River, climbed to an outstanding view of the west side of the mountain, then dropped back to follow a wonderful little mountain stream that made a beautiful falls as it cascaded over an short drop near the three-quarters mark on the five mile hike. "I'm glad we came, actually." said Carissa. "The wildflowers are beautiful. And you picked a great day to take a hike. The weather is beautiful. I figured it would be raining." Paul had been a meteorologist back in his Air Force days, and Carissa always liked to tease him about the weather. "I ordered this weather," teased Paul right back. It was a spectacular day. Cool and crisp, but with a promise of very warm temperatures by the afternoon. The lovers hiked in silence for a while. The trail was mostly in trees, only occasionally crossing a mountain meadow. The meadows, though, were filled with wildflowers. Purples and yellows and oranges. It was a sight! After awhile the trail steepened for a few hundred yards, but both hikers strode right up the slope, with the knowledge that at the top of the hill was the Mt. Hood viewpoint. As they crested the final rise, the trees thinned and there stood the snow-covered volcanic peak in all its glory. "Wow!" Paul and Carissa said in unison. "Spectacular!" They set their packs down and Carissa reached for her bottle of water. Paul reached for his new digital camera. "I wonder how this will look digital?" asked Paul. "I've never taken scenic shots with this kind of camera. This sorta begs for 35 millimeter." "Well, the beauty of a digital camera is if you don't like the pictures you haven't spent a lot of money getting them developed," Carissa reminded him as she handed him the water bottle. "Good point." Paul drank from the water bottle all the time looking at the mountain, thinking about how to frame his shots. Ka-Click. Ka-Click. The camera made a double clicking sound as it snapped each shot. "Stand over there and let me get you in the shot." said Paul. "Okay." Carissa moved to line herself up with the mountain. "Wait a sec, let me take off this sweater." "Why stop with the sweater?" said Paul with a lear. "'Cause we're out in public, stupid!", said Carissa althought she was smiling too. "I'm not sure I would call this public. We're two miles from the highway and there were no other cars at the trailhead." Carissa smiled the endearing "evil Carissa" smile that Paul loved so much. And with one motion pulled off her top. |

| Paul gasped in awe and delight as Carissa stood before the mountain wearing only her hiking shorts and hiking boots. "You're more spectacular than the mountain!" he said as he began snapping pictures. Carissa struck a pose. Paul snapped a couple more pictures. Carissa struck another pose. Paul snapped two more. "Screw the pictures," said Paul as he set down the camera. "This is more than just a Kodak moment." He stepped to Carissa and pulled her close, fondling her breasts. Her nipples were rock hard. Paul's cock was nearly as hard; constrained only by his shorts. As they kissed passionaltely, Carissa began rubbing Paul's crotch. Paul groaned. Carissa made little mewing noises. Just then they heard voices! "Oh shit," said Paul. "Oh God", said Carissa. Quickly she reached for her top and slid it back on. Paul reached into his pants and rearranged his hard-on so it wasn't tenting his cargo shorts. With seconds to spare they made themselves presentable. A young family rounded the corner and began the last small climb to the viewpoint. A mother, a father, a boy about 11 and a girl about 8 smiled at Paul and Carissa as they reached the lookout. Then they noticed the mountain. "Wow!" they all said in unison. "Fantastic!" said the woman. "Spectacular!" said the man. They all gazed at the view. Even the children. "You shoulda been here earlier," said Paul. "It was even better!" "Really?" said the father. "Yep, the lighting was better!" Paul said with a drawl. He and Carissa smiled at each other. "Have fun on your hike!" said Carissa as she and Paul shouldered their day-packs and continued on down the trail. "You guys have fun too!" said the woman. Paul and Carissa didn't notice the knowing look that passed between the husband and wife. |
