October 2 (Saturday): International Folk Dance Party at Community Methodist Church, San Carlos starting at 8:00 P.M. For more information call: (408) 252-8106.

October 2 (Saturday): Armenian Folk Festival at Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Vartan, 650 Spruce St., Oakland. For more information call (510) 893-1671. The festival is from Noon to 9:00 P.M. and admission is free.

October 4 (Monday): John Daley, and friends, will again go over the easy Kolo dances done at our Marko Polo Festival. All are welcome! Merhem will play his accordion. 7:30PM, at the Slavonic Center, 60 Onondag a Ave (near Alemany), S. F. A donation is requested. (Free for SMBS members).

October 5 (Tuesday): Balkan and Israeli Golden Oldies at Ashkenaz. Teaching from 7:30 to 9:00 P.M. by Neal Sandler and Asha Goldberg. Dancing to recorded music from 9:00 P.M. on. Admission is $5.00.

October 6 (Wednesday): --Joyce teaches TOPANSKO (will review throughout the month) at the Almonte Dancers in Mill Valley.

October 7 (Thursday): Mostly Balkan Folk Dance Party at Menlo Park Recreation Center. Admission is $5. For more information call (650) 851-8498.

October 9 (Saturday): Mandala will hold its annual Folk Dance Picnic-In-The-Park at the east end of Speedway meadow in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco from 10:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Live music will be provided and everyone is welcome to bring his or her instruments and jam. Bring some food and drink, a friend or two and a ball or Frisbee and have a wonderful time in Golden Gate Park. Admission is free and bar-be-cue facilities will be available. October 16 (Saturday): The Croatian and Slovenian community is putting on a Dalmatinska Noc at Nativity Parish Hall, 240 Fell St. (between Gough and Franklin), San Francisco. Doors open at 6:30 P. M.; music/dinner starts at 7:30 P. M. Two bands play f or dancing; Slavonian Traveling Band and Vino i Gitare. Dancing only $10.00, with dinner $20.00. Every Wednesday: Folk Dance Classes from 8:00 to 10:00 P.M. at Almonte Hall (behind Tamalpias High School in Mill Valley).

Every Thursday: Mandala meets for International Folk Dance with Edith Bourbin 7:30-11 PM.

Every Friday: Albany "Y" International Folk Dancing with Mel Harte 8-11 PM.

First four Fridays: International and partner Folk Dancing at Chang's.

Every first Friday: Family folk dancing by Denise Weiss at Slavonic Cultural Center in San Francisco. Call (510) 841-0934.

Every Friday (except for occasional three-day weekends): Stanford International Dancers at Flex-It Aerobics Studio, Mountain View. Live music party monthly.

Every fourth Friday: The Pomander Club features an American Traditional Dance workshop and ball with live music provided by the Paul Price Society Orchestra at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Palo Alto.
