November 1 (Monday): Lexicon, a New York based all Bulgarian band on their first USA tour. Lexicon plays traditional Bulgarian folk music with a delightful contemporary pizzazz. They will perform at Espresso Garden & Cafe, 814 S. Bascom Ave., San Jose (2 blocks south of 280 Exit). Doors open at 6: 30 P.M.; Concert 7:30 P.M. Dinner is served up to show time. November 5 (Friday): Al Moore to teach Balkan Dances at Stanford International Dancers at Flex-it Aerobic Studio in Mountain View.
November 5 (Friday): Sredets Bulgarian Folk Music Ensemble will perform at the Chico Woman's Club, 3rd and Pine St., Chico. November 14 (Sunday): The Slavonian Traveling Band plays 6:30 P.M. at the Hungarian Sausage Factory Bistro, 419 Cortland St., San Francisco. The Band's smaller "cafe" ensemble will play. The space is intimate. Call Imre in the evening at (415) 648-2847, if you want dinner or directions.

November 16 (Tuesday): Kostas Avdalas, directory to the Bay Area's excellent Greek Folk dance groups, Stavraeti and Elliniki Arhordia, will teach Greek fork dances 8:00 - 9:00 P.M. Live music dance party with Edessa 9:00 P.M. on, at Ashkenaz. Admission is $8.00.
November 19 (Friday): Theodor Vasilescu teaches a workshop at Albany YMCA Folk Dancers located at 921 Kains Avenue, one block east of San Pablo Blvd, near Solano Ave. Teaching starts at 8:00 P.M., request dancing to tapes begins about 9:30 P.M. November 25 - 27 -- Kolo Festival of California, Russian Center, Sutter Street at Divisidero, San Francisco. On Thursday evening, there will be dancing, to taped music, of old Balkan favorites. Dances, during the day on Friday and Saturday, will be taught by: Dick Crum (Balkan), Mihai David (Romanian), Atanas Kolarovski (Macedonian), and Yves Moreau (Bulgarian). Also, during the day, John Morovich will teach the songs of Croatia. On Friday and Saturday evenings, and on until the wee hours, exciting dance parties with live music will be offered. On Friday evening, Anoush Ellas will play Greek and Balkan dance music, Voluta Vox will play Balkan, Vasil Bebelekov and his special friends from Bulgaria will entertain us with the finest and the latest in Bulgarian music, and there will be a Kolo band to be announced. On Saturday evening, Edessa will play Macedonian dance music, there will be Romanian dance music with, Nada Lewis, Clark Welsh, Jay Stebley, and David Skuse, also, Marcus Moskov and friends will play Balkan music and there will be a Kolo band to be announced.
