Usually one "beginner" level dance and one "intermediate/advanced" dance is taught.
A group of anywhere from 5-15 goes out to a nearby eatery afterwards until 11:00 PM.
VERY eclectic mixture of dances. We are NOT dance snobs and will dance to anything that makes us smile. 6-7 people in the class attend Stockton each summer so we do a lot of Stockton dances.
30+ people Age range: 18-80 with the majority 40-65.
Linoleum over concrete floor.

Very welcoming to new dancers
Children under 16 okay with parent or adult guardian.
Parties five times a year roughly once a quarter, plus an extra party with live music in April: last Thursday before Christmas, last Thursday in March, mid-April (live music), second week in June, third Thursday in August. For a reminder of the precise dates, email to

7:30-8:30 easy warm-up dances and beginning instruction
8:30-9:00-ish two intermediate dances taught -- one partner, one non-partner
9:00-11:30 open request dancing
100+ dancers Age range 18-70
Very high-energy dancing. The majority are excellent dancers who've been dancing for years, great to watch. Can be intimidating to some newcomers, but beginners *can* work their way in gradually, taking the beginning lesson and staying in as long as they are comfortable. Beginner class is generally 12-15 people.
Wood-parquet floor over concrete (looks beautiful, but not great on the knees)
"Oldies" are always part of the dance evening, not just the latest hot dances.

Free refreshments (coffee, tea, lemonade, popcorn, and cookies)
