July 13 (Monday): Start of a six-week
class in Balkan and Romani Rhythms taught by Rumen Sali Shopov at the Jazz
School in Berkeley from 8:15 to 9:45 P.M.

(Wednesday): Longtime San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers, Colin Cotter, Ethan
Lewis, and Neil Pearlman as A Thousand Years at Sea, play a concert to
celebrate the release of their new CD album, Silver Shores Await! This trio’s first set will be
followed by a dance by the Midsummer Fiddle Band of Marin playing Finnish,
Quebecois and Scottish fiddle music.
