Paul and Lynn are a brother and sister folk duo from Grimsby who have been singing together at the Grimsby Folk Club since they were teenagers.
Paul has made a number of television and radio appearances including playing fiddle on Ewan MacColl’s televised version of the Radio Ballad "Singing the Fishing", re-titled "Shoals Of Herring".
Paul and Lynn can both be heard on the soundtrack for a Channel 4 documentary called 'Fish 'n' Ships' by Praxis Films Ltd. which documented the rise and fall of Grimsby as a fishing port.
In the 1970's they were members of the folk group, The Galley along with Frank Singleton and Graham Thomas.
In 1975 they made an album called Hail Smiling Morn which was later released in Holland as Joke and Push about the Pitcher.
The Galley were together for about 10 years, singing four-part harmony traditional and contemporary songs.
After the break up of The Galley, Paul and Lynn joined together with Paul Gough and Jane Gough to form Force Four, another group specialising in harmony singing.
After several years the group split and Lynn branched out into other areas of music while Paul formed a duo with local musician Mark Campbell.
Paul also spent many years playing fiddle with the Broadside Ceilidh Band and now plays regularly with The Little Band.
Now Paul and Lynn are back together and performing regularly at Grimsby Folk Club. Their repertoire consists of traditional and contemporary material accompanied by Paul on guitar.
As well as fine harmony singing, their songs are interspersed with comic banter from Paul.
