You are reconstructing
the myth. Gardel's bio is
safe, and his music has been rescued. You have also gained new insights
into the world of Tango, and Buenos Aires' life in the early 20th century.
However, we can't forget about the visual side of this case. We need
to collect images to make sure Gardel's portrait lives forever as well.
This is your mission during this level:
-
We need you to search and preserve
Gardel's image. We need to preserve his fashion style, his hair-do, his
posture and anything else you can find.
-
You need to pay special attention to the
way photographers and painters have rendered him.
-
Keep these elements in mind: COLORS,
SCENARIOS, STYLE, POSTURE, HAIR-DO, FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, DECORATIONS, LETTERING,
ETC.
-
Look for common themes, and repetitions
among all images. Can you see a development in Gardel's style, or in Tango
style in general?
-
Have you seen similar images in your country?
Where?
Keep track of your findings. Some
pictures you may be able to save and/or print, but in general, you should
keep an organized list of web pages. In the case of magazines, brochures
and books you might find, keep them organized too. If you need to share
them with other groups, make arrangements with them.
Take notes that will help you remember
the images and describe them to the class.
