| The Forwardian Arts Society is collaborating with Pocono Jazz and Poetry to bring together artists, musicians, poets, and more in short mini-sets. The premier ArtSmash of the Poconos event is being held in front of The Shoppe on Main Complex located on the corner of 8th and Main Streets in Stroudsburg, PA on Saturday September 5th from 12 noon � 7pm. The event is free of charge. Free event T-shirts are available for the first 100 visitors.
This will be followed by an Open Jam with a variety of musicians from 7 - 10pm inside The Tapestry Corner ($5 cover charge applies) wich is located within The Shoppes on Main Complex. The position of �HOUSE BAND� is currently open. Musicians and artists include: � Bands: Long Time Comin�, Java, Ed Wilson, Country Bruce, and Ear Ecstasy � Poets: Valerie Cruz, Ka-Son Reeves, and Susanna Rich � Photographers: Joanne Bridgman, Barbara Case, and NV Cordero � Artists: Barbara Briggs, Rebecca Huff, Helen Kopec. and Laura Salazar Community partners for this event include: The Tapestry Corner, whose owner, Bridget Williams, is providing the wonderful indoor venue; tastes and nibbles provided by Nicole DeFour of Quench Juice & Smoothie Bar which is located within the Shoppes on Main Complex; local artist Nelson Ortiz, who designed the event logo; Keegan Tees; Pocono Arts Council; The Sherman Theater, and The Jacob Stroud Corp.
