Herbium Castellum
This 3-dot freehold belongs to Countess Miriam, liege-lady of the County of Buckeyes. Super-imposed in the Dreaming on the mortal Columbus Conservatory, the freehold has strong affinities for the actor, fae, and especially nature Realms.
The Freehold is open to Changelings day and night, though Countess Miriam only holds court functions in the evening, when the Conservatory is closed to mortals. Inside the freehold, each room in the Dreaming is simply a more fantastic version of its mortal self; climate included. So the desert rooms are hot and dry, while the rain forest is very humid. The Palm Room, where many mortal weddings take place, is the room where Countess Miriam typically holds court.
The Freehold's chimerical inhabitants are all quite loyal to the Countess, who takes great pains to see their concerns addressed. Her freehold hosts perhaps a dozen Shrubberlings who act as tenders of the trees and court servants, and many Nevers who take delight in enchanting children and dancing with the butterflies.
Aside from the Countess, typical courtiers include Hecataeus, her Satyr wizard/advisor, Tobias, a Boggan who acts as court scribe and historian, and Gwalchamai, a House Scathach sidhe who commands her guard. On any given night perhaps a half-dozen other kithain, typically boggan and trolls will be in attendance as well. Several of the Conservatory's employees are Kinain, and they might very well be in attendance at court as well. Ishi, a kubera Inanimae, is anchored to one of Bonsai trees within the freehold and acts as an advisor to the Countess on a host of issues.
The freehold has many effective chimerical defenses. An aura of peace surrounds the building, in effect slightly enchanting any who enter. They are not able to see the Dreaming, per se, but their mind is relaxed and they find themselves unable to resist the beauty around them. This is an especially important defense, as the occasional Autumn Person wanders into the Conservatory during open hours. Without this defense their banality would be pure poison to the freehold. Additionally, Countess Miriam can call on the plants themselves to attack and restrain invaders. Trees club victims while grasses and shrubs wrap them closely. She calls on this only in the last resort, as she can't bear to see her plants harmed.
Shrubberlings
Shrubberlings resemble small animate bushes but with comical faces, and small, spindly arms and legs. Also called the Plant People, they are eccentric, and humorous. They are sociable among themselves, and are generally harmless, relying on the fae to protect them.
