Adding Navy Ships to TE's

1. open tacedit (can get tacedit here: http://fly.to/fng)
2. go to 'file' and 'load bitmap'
2a. You can get a bitmap, as well as directions for adding clouds to TE's at this web page:
http://388thte.falcon40.com/
3. click the bitmap of korea that you are using. Note: as of tacedit 1.18 the coordinates for clouds are reversed, but for the navy ships they seem to be ok.
4. go to 'file' and 'load thr strings'
5. click on 'korea.wch'
6. go to 'file' and 'open'
7. pick the .tac file that you want to add navy ships to.
7a. Click on the 'map view' choice on the left of the screen to see your map and the location of your ships (if you already have some there).
8. go to 'insert' and 'add unit'
9. in the 'new' pull down box select 'navy'
10. in the 'Type' pull down box select the type of navy ship you want
11. if a 'subtype' exists, choose which subtype you want in the 'subtype box'
12. click ok
13. oops...think I forgot about this bug!! ***NOTE: in the 'owner' box in the window that comes up, 'U.S.' is indeed the U.S. but the 'ROK' is actually the North Koreans (the red enemy you see in f4). Thus you pick 'ROK' in the 'owner' box if you want a North Korean ship. I think if you pick anything other than 'U.S.' or 'ROK' that it will crash your mission.**** Important to remember.
14. choose x and y coordinates by putting numbers in the x and y coordinate box. Does not matter what you choose....just as long as you choose something to get the ship on the screen (200 for each works fine). You can change the location of the ship either in tacedit or in f4. (note: don't confuse this with the ships traveling through the water...they don't do that).
15. Note that the 'U.S.' ships will appear red/brown in tacedit, and the 'north korean ships' (remember to choose ROK to get North Korean ships) appear blue. Confusing huh?
16. go to 'file' and 'save' to save the mission.
