Bankside A completely rejuvenated area of London, with the Tate Modern Gallery now open in the shell of the old Bankside Power Station. I spent 3 weeks living in LSE student residences immediately behind the Tate over the summer of 2000. Shakespeares Globe, with the Tate Modern behind (the chimney of the old Bankside Power station)
To the left, within the outer courtyard of the Globe, showing the Globe to be not truely circular, but to be a 20 sided object. Tp the right, from the 7th floor of the Tate Modern, looking down to Shakespeares Globe and across to Southwark Bridge and the City.
Another shot from high up in the Tate Modern, showing the Millenium Bridge leading to St Pauls Cathedral. The Barbican residential towers can be seen behind the Dome of St Pauls, Cromwell Tower is the 3rd one.
Back down at river level, the Millenium Bridge again.
