Zug A little town half way between Zurich and Luzern, situated on the waterfront, it's a favourite rest stop of mine, first discovered back in 1990.
One of my favourite hikes takes you straight up the Zugerberg, walking through steep meadows. It makes you realise how unfit you really are.
Up and over the Zugerberg you emerge from the woods
And gradually head down to the next town, Uterberg, through prestine meadows, past wood huts.
