Engelberg Engelberg was my final big destination of the last trip. Situated right in the middle of the alps at the end of the valley, it is directly below Mt Titlis, with a direct Cable Car to the top of the 3000m mountain. This was in the middle of July, and there was still loads of snow.
The Ski run was still open - being used by the Swiss military, and there was a Snowboarding tunnel.
Nice sunny day, but it was still freezing up there...
Beautiful panorama of the Alps, you could see as far as the Eiger, Jungfrau and Monch.
I caught the Cable Car half was down, then walked the rest, walking through Alpine meadows
