Located just north of La Jolla, Torres Pines State Park has some glorious beaches,
my favourite being the bay just past the Scrips Ranch Pier
A spectacular intrusion into the deserted bay is something that looks like it has come straight out of a James Bond movie. A private beach house, linked to the millionaire's mansion high above on the cliffs by a fenicular railway.
