Hi. If you are writing to us about a real problem, please do not think that our appreciation for your willingness to take the time to do so is anything less than completely sincere. If that is what you are here to do, then what can we say other than "the Net could use more people like you". We don't log in very often, so please appreciate that response time will be slow. We're not ignoring you, though, so please don't take it personally. We're just out having fun, that's all.
If you're writing because you think that it would be fun to pick a fight with the moderators while pretending to be somebody else on the list, then guess what, sport. Bravenet and the Witches' Voice both log IP addresses, and we're going to be able to tell who you are, especially since Yahoo keeps a record of everybody who joins our list, even after they leave. Pull a stunt like that, and we reserve the right to post your letter, with your real name and e-mail on top of it, anywhere we wish. Where we wish will probably be one of the alt.sex groups on Usenet, or anywhere else we know the spambots collect addresses. In fact, we will very likely do that if you use this form to send us anything that is less than 100 per cent respectful, or otherwise misuse it.
You may feel that our policies could be improved on. They probably could be, but you know what? Start your own list. We don't want to hear about it, any more. Remember, we've walked off. There's a limit to how motivated we're going to be here. You may want to give us a sanctimonious lecture about what we could do to get people online to like us more. Read our lips, "Miss Manners", we don't care. You may feel that we've been insensitive. That's your privilege. But it's our privilege to tell you what you may or may not drop into our box. If you ignore those wishes, you've misused the form, and we are not going to be nice to you. Frivolous complaints will get you banned from the list and our box as a pest, on the first offense.
If you are here for genuinely good purposes, we're sorry you had to crawl through all of that hate, but yes, it was necessary. Go ahead and write. We're not as mean as we must seem to you, right now, but we're not going to take any c**p, and it pays to make that clear to people.
This form is being hosted on LewisLand, "home of disturbingly little".
