The Darkness (inside)

A second of anger, begins to fade
Simple frustration cuts like a blade
When these moods will arise
I can neither pre-empt or foresee
No cloaking with lies
A small boat on lifes rocky seas

See the beast, pray not to exclusion
Shining teeth, but beneath is simply confusion
This creature is complex, battling emotions and mind
Thats just the nature of our kind

A quick reaction, a lifetime of regret
Fast changing expressions, words failed to vet
No taking it back now, whether or not it was meant
Its simply to hard to circumvent

The fatigue of a lifetime, and darkness inside
Do you see a sign, where that darkness resides
Hidden strengths keep it mostly at bay
Why are you running away?
