wonderings_and_reflectionsWonderings and Reflections
So often I wonder about things
as I sit under the street lamp
who enjoys the song that I sing
to the silence of a river camp
Questions abound in my active life
some go into the poems I try to write
I guess about who will be my wife
knowing how things come to light
I have angel but she is my kin
enjoying the days of summer
will she listen above the din
and march to a different drummer
Purple is also very dear
a good friend that I trust
I hope someday to be clear
what happens will be just
I wonder of my life to be
debating on making a call
Melody my old lover I hope to see
but what will prevent a fall
What will be my idea job
I must make my own life
on the river of time I bob
staying away from all strife
A wife and a job I do need
because time is special in all ways
planting in life a needed seed
that will last all my days
Who I will marry I don't know
because I want a loving girl to be my mate
I would like to go very slow
and plan that future date
Reflections and wonderings right now
plenty of time left to think
before leaving I will bow
before I run out of ink
