One night I had a dream
that I was living in an
empty world where no one
cared about anybody else
All my life it seems
that my worl mimicked
this dream until I met
you Donna so long ago
and my empty life changed
Suddenly I awakened
into the bright light of love
and I knew that my life
would never be the same
I wasted time drifted away
not knowing what to do
or even what to say
a brain who didn't have a clue
Desperate for a friend
I searched for a way to find
some one to right my life
to what I had once before
All my life it seems
I lost the game called
love until I hid my
heart afraid to even try
until I remembered you
Donna I felt fear has
I wrote that first letter not
knowing what to expect
hoping for an answer
You wrote back and over time
friendship grew to a new
dream erasing my fears
and filling my life with new hope
In my life I've found
a new guiding light
that shines in my darkness
a lovely young lady
