SECOND CHANCE

In the light of the moon so bright
I stood under a shining light
thinking of my life so far
and all the pain I bear

In the current of my memories
I was swept off my feet in pain
I glance up in the bare trees
and saw all my life's hope die

I saw the rise of hope and its fall
in a bright fiery ruin
but in the trees all so tall
I heard somebody calling
telling of a second chance

Like the mighty phoenix I will fly
from the ruins of my old life
like the little train I will try
to get up the hill of life

I see all the pressures closing in
sometimes I doubt if I can make it
but I look inside and up in the sky
and somehow I know I can take it

As I struggle to rebuild
I know it will not be easy
but I can make it through
with good friends like you

As the moon shines so bright
a new strength fills me up
I look at things with a new sight
I find my life once so bleak
shines with a new light
