IR YANI
Ir Yani took a three year course in Tourism at Yogyakarta's prestigious Gadjah Mada University.
She now works at Via Via, Jl. Prawirotaman 24B, Yogyakarta and conducts
what I will refer to as "Eco-Bike-Tours".
Our 1/2 day bike tour was very memorable, chiefly due to Ir's expertise and enthousiasm.
Although the bikes are "cheapies", her routes are flat enough not to warrant using a mountain bike.
She makes frequent stops and explains everything in flawless English.
She also persuades her team to participate in such activities as planting young rice plants ("bibit")
and thrashing rice, packing "tempeh" and talking with villagers, especially children.
Her extensive knowledge, pleasant character and judicious choice of stops and speeds
made this tour a very valuable experience. She is, indeed, a credit to the University!
