INDONESIA TOUR of Ben Oostdam and Paul Billeter, 1999-2000


We arrived in Denpasar, Bali from Makassar around 8 p.m. only, so our pickup had left. Fortunately, taxi tarifs were fixed and reasonable for the interesting 1 1/2 hour trip to :


The beach itself
was not too spectacular,
with blackish-gray sand

THE ROYAL BALI

CANDI DASA

but we had a marvelous view of Padangbai
and a lovely receptioniste: "Putu"


We had booked this fine time-share unit
through RCI for one week
and Paul felt at home immediately,
most likely on account of the AC
and the swimming pool.
