Golub-DobrzyÕ

A Teutonic Knights' castle raised in the years 1305-1311. In the early 17th century the castle belonged to Princess Anna, thte sister of King Sigismund III (Zygmund III) Vasa who ordered it to be remodelled. Partly destroyed in 1655 during the Polish-Swedish war. It gradually went to ruin in the 19th century. The castle was rebuilt in the years 1959-1967. At present it has a joint form of a Gothic Fortress and an early Baroque residence. Tourists flock to the international tournaments organized on the castle premisis.
