SCYTHE II

Scythe 2 features 27 levels and 2 secret levels, a sequel to its succesor Scythe.wad. The megawad is split into 5 distinct episodes, Levels 1-5 are a dark gothic look, Levels 6-10 are in a pyramid egypt style, Levels 11-20 are a more varied style starting with udnerground base and ending with a more Doom2 outdoor style. Levels 21-25 are of a green goo theme and are very hard maps. The last 2 maps are set in Hell. Progression of the episode is excellent starting off easier and getting much harder and in the later maps you are fighting against hundreds of tougher montsters such as Hell Knights, Revenants, Mancubi, etc. Two new enemies are present replacing Commander Keen and the Nazi, an enemy Doom Player that moves very fast and shoots plasma and the Afrit which is a powerful enemy present only in the final two maps. The Afrit shoots heaps of Revenant and Mancubus Fireballs in huge amounts and has the combined health of two Barons and one Hell Knight. All maps are visiually impressive, with superb architecture in all. The final level is a huge Eternal Doom like castle and is set up high in the sky. The Super Secret level (MAP32) is a much harder version of the first map in the original Scythe, midified in a way a bit like E3M9 Warrens.
