Duane's lineup got randomized, but probably would not have been enough anyway against a motivated Standale squad. Antonio Gates led all scorers for the week with 32 points for the Big Knox (6-2). Eugene, also 6-2, was paced by Steven Jackson's 25 points but it was not enough to keep a 6-game winning streak intact.
Climax 69ers 119 Yukon Icebreakers 92
Paul won his second consecutive game against rival Travis. Drew Brees and Steve Smith led the 69ers (3-5) with 28 and 26 points respectively. They also got top positional scoring from the Dolphins defense (18 points) and kicker Matt Stover (13 points). Yukon (5-3) was led by Terrell Owens' 21 points but was hurt by Mark Brunell's 3-point performance.
Grand Rapids Greased Lightning 147 Whooping Llamas 98
The Lightning offense lit up the scoreboard for the third time in four weeks as Jeremy was the victim of a 49-point defeat in a non-division contest. Jake Delhomme led the way with 29 points while bye week replacement Marion Barber scored 25 as a running back/floater for Grand Rapids (6-2). Jerry Porter, Trent Green and Stephen Davis combined for 69 points to lead a valiant effort for the Llamas (2-6), but got little help elsewhere.
Muskegon Mudhens 102 Ironwood Cox 94
Despite losing top scorer Peyton Manning to the bye, Brian earned a key victory against Eastern Division co-leader Ironwood (5-3). It was another solid team effort, lef by Corey Dillon's 19 points for Ironwood, but it was not enough as Tiki Barber led scorers with 26 points while Fred Taylor added 22 for the Mudhens. With the win, Muskegon (3-5) now stakes claim to the King of the Mountain Trophy.
Alaskan Assassins 123 Crazy Jimmies 66
In a game where one losing streak had to end, it was the hard-luck Jimmies' whose sterak extended to seven games while Alaska broke it's 5-game skid. Donovan McNabb led the Assassin attack with 27 points while Joey Galloway led the Jimmies with 20. With the win, Dave stays tied with Paul and Brian for the final playoff spot while Jim falls to 1-7.
