. . installing a strut bar . .

<------------------------------------------------------------------------------>

Approximate time: 20 minutes

1. Pop the hood and prop it up.

2. Locate nuts on either side of your engine bay and remove them. There are two on each side, on the painted humps of your engine bay.

Close-up of passenger side of strut bar. Notice the two nuts/bolts on the painted hump.

3. Start with the passenger side of the strut bar. Line up the strut on the bolts and replace the nuts. Do not tighten all the way.

4. Go to driver side and fit the other end of the strut bar onto the bolts. This may take a little muscle. (Remember, the strut bar reduces the flexing in the upper chassis.) When you get it in, replace the nuts but do not tighten.

5. Tighten nuts first on the passenger side, then on the driver side.

Check the nuts and bolts after about 500 miles.

Good luck!
