Ok here goes...we'll start with the front.
Jack up the car (use a jack stand) and remove the front wheel. Remove bolts 17 & 15 (top and bottom of strut fork
Pull the fork off the bottom of the strut and move it aside, you may need to twist it a bit to get it off.
Under the hood you will see 2 bolts holding the strut to the tower, (if you have a strut bar this is where it is probably bolted) Reove these 2 bolts and the strut assembly should drop out.
This is where you will need a compressor. You can rent one or buy one at any auto parts store for $50, ask for a "Macpherson strut spring compressor" or take the strut assembly to a shop that has one and have them do it for you...let them install your new spring too, some aftermarkets wont require compression to install but some may. If you buy the one mentioned above there are simple instructions with it, its very easy, just take your time.
Once the spring is compressed place a 14 mm wrench on the bolt at the top of the assembly and put an allen key in the hole at the top of the strut, loosen the 14mm while holding back with the allen key, remove the top cap.
Reverse for installation.
Ok now for the rear.....
Remove the bolt which holds the rear lower control arm to the rear hub. Remove the bolt which holds the rear shock to the control arm.
In the trunk remove the 2 bolts which hold the top of the shock assembly (just like the front.)
Remove the shock assembly. This will come apart the same as the front..you wont need a compressor for this, just push down on the cap while loosening (helps to have another set of hands.)
Reverse for installation.
NOTE: When reinstalling the rear shocks...bolt the top up first, then use another jack to raise the control arm to where it should be , makes it much easier to reassemble the lower arm and lower shock bolt.
Also it helps to spray all bolts with WD-40 bout 1/2 hour before you start.
