The living room didn't change much from when I moved moved here in August 2000 until 2005 - a new fake ficus and some changes to plants, a small shelf above the aquarium with some matrioshka dolls and a betta tank, a larger 27 inch TV replacing the 19 inch  TV, and a few additional decorative pieces.

The big change came in the spring of 2005, when I replaced the overstuffed blue glider rockers with smaller gliders in a burgundy pattern, and ordered a new microfiber couch in a similar, but lighter, slate blue shade. The couch came right after July 4. Of course, then the cushions, valances and fleece throw all needed to be replaced. The pictures below show the before and after pictures.

If anyone is interested, the chairs came from HOM Furniture, the couch and cushions are from Slumberland, and the burgundy window valance is from J.C. Penney.
