She looked out the window to see if any
birds were nearby...... then jumped up on the barbecue grill to watch the birds, making a
noise deep in her throat that she always makes when big birds are so close, yet so far. |
| Pretty soon the birds were
done with breakfast, so she moved inside to play. She hid in the hall closet and played
with mom's shoes, then played with some plastic bags that came with a big box mom got. |
| Pretty soon Coco went into the bathroom to explore. She
got up on the counter and saw her reflection in the mirror. |
She jumped on the toilet lid and had a great time
batting at the shower curtain. She got mom to play, too! |
She really isn't supposed to get up on the kitchen
counter, but mom caught her in the act. Mom tried very hard to be stern, but had to laugh
instead. |
Then she saw some more birds and wanted to get a better
look, so she hopped up on the dining room table and watched everything they did. |
| Soon mom decided to have some ice cream. Coco loves ice
cream! Mom let her have a spoonful. Coco was very happy! |
After ice cream, Coco
played in a grocery store bag, and then in her favorite tunnel while playing with Da Bird,
her favorite toy. |
Coco spent some time playing
with another bird toy that hangs from a string in the doorway. She never played with this
toy very often, but now she loves it. |
She also played with another
favorite toy, a little pink ring that she loves to chase when mom throws it. She buries
the ring; here she's burying it under a rug. |
Coco also found her way up on the coffee table (looking
for more ice cream) and stopped to check out the telephone - "hello? hello?" |
| Then Coco went over to the dining room
table, where she played on the chairs and batted the tassel on the table runner. |
After all these activities, Coco finally
got tired and spent part of the afternoon napping - but alert, ready to dive into the next
fun thing that happened! |
