Hawks |

Apache is a Krider's Redtail Hawk. She had fractured her wing and was found after managing to live for a month hunting from a leaning tree. Her strength and spirit are amazing. Most hawks would not have survived. She lives at the Wildlife Center
and is used as a program bird..........for education. |

Harvette is a Redshoulder Hawk. When she arrived at the Wildlifge Center
she was called Harvey Wallbanger...because her flying was so erratic.
It was only after she laid an egg that her name bacame Harvette. |

Skygazer is a Red Tail Hawk. She has fractures in her wings and does not fly well. She lives with Harvette and they serve as surrogate parents for orphaned hawks.
She also goes to schools and events for educational purposes. |

Ladyhawke and Kiowa are Redtail Hawks. They both have wing fractures.
Kiowa is very much in love with Lady and tries to protect her.
Lady is the bigger of the pair. In birds of prey, the female is larger than the male. Redtail Hawks mate for life. When you talk about regal, that is Lady.
So quiet and elegant, but when protecting an egg, so fierce and fiery. |
