| Juanita and Lester are Creasted Caracaras. We kept them for a time while Audubon built new mews for their birds. They both have fractures and cannot be released. Caracaras are native to lower Florida, Louisianna, and Texas. Notice how Juanita throws her head back when she makes her call. They are interesting and beautiful birds...and tough too. Caracaras will take on an alligator in the wild...... | ||||||||||||||||

| Aztec is also a Creasted Caracara. She also has fractures and resides at the Wildlife Center. She is used for educational purposes. |
